Greerton Centre Blog
April 2025

At the Greerton Centre, we’ve been enjoying lots of fun new adventures together.

One of our favourite trips was to Redwoods Blueberry Farm.

The sun was shining, and the bushes were full of ripe, juicy blueberries.

We each had a bucket and picked as many berries as we could.

Back at the Centre, we used the blueberries in our cooking group

to bake some yummy muffins.

Another fun day was when we went to Maxwells Beach.

The weather was perfect for being by the water.

We all helped to pump up the paddle board,

taking turns to make sure it was ready.

Then, one by one, we tried paddle boarding.

Some of us were a bit nervous at

first, but once we got the hang of

 it, it was amazing.

Being out on the calm water felt

 peaceful and relaxing.

 Te Puke Blog 2025

Our Xmas Party 2024

We chose to have a disco, a special lunch and a surprise sensory stand for our Christmas Break Up Party.

The bonus surprise was, we all got a present!

Here are some snippets of a few of us getting our presents.

We're always kept busy in and around the community, and at our Centre with so many opportunities and so much fun.

We are always busy, and out and about exploring our local community.

We love our local beaches and are frequently utilising their beauty.

Sometimes we have Sensory sessions at the beach and we all thoroughly enjoy the variety.

On occasions we venture out of town and explore the wider community. Here are some of us at Rotorua.

This year we’ve included more projects into our

community involvement.

Each week we walk to one of the local

Daycare Centres

and are involved with the

Te Puke Kai Resilience Programme.

Here we nurture our vegetable garden boxes

to give away our seasonal produce,

and also help with the Daycare Centre’s too.
